In 2024, the Mercedes-Benz GLE introduces a new plug-in hybrid engine in the GLE 450e. This is a 381-horsepower system that features a turbo 2.0-liter engine and 4MATIC® all-wheel drive. In addition, the AMG® GLE 53 now gives you an extra boost with an improved torque rating. This is a six-cylinder, 3.0-liter, 429-horsepower engine. The most powerful engine is a 4.0-liter, V8 gas engine that produces 603 horsepower and is a carryover from the 2023 GLE. The other three powertrains are unchanged from 2023. These include a four-cylinder, 255-horsepower unit, a V6, 375-horsepower system, and a V8, 510-horsepower option.

Appearance

While the GLE was boldly redesigned in 2020, its style has been refreshed in 2024 as well. In addition to the grooved contour that streaks across the sides, the 2024 GLE displays a captivating front-end design. The chrome-accented grille has a subtle A-shape with vertical bars. It sits above a black, A-shaped bumper with chrome-accounted air vents. The headlights for the 2024 GLE are captivating, with multiple LED elements. Some GLE trims for both model years give you a panoramic sunroof, adaptive headlights with long-range high beams, up to 21-inch wheels, and more.

Features

The infotainment system in the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE has been updated. Other than this change, all of the great features offered in the 2023 GLE carry through to the 2024 version. These may include an optional third row, power-adjusting seats in the second row, USB ports across all rows, adaptive cruise control, speed limit assist, lane keeping, rapid-heating front seats, a premium sound system, a household power outlet, a surround-view camera, leather upholstery, a four-zone climate management system, a head-up display, and numerous other features.
