2022 Mercedes-Benz S-Class vs 2021 Mercedes-Benz S-Class
Serving McKinney, TX
In 2021, the regal Mercedes-Benz S-Class sedan introduced its seventh generation. At the time, this generational advancement brought about exciting improvements to the S-Class from end to end. As you consider upgrading to the full-size S-Class sedan soon, you understandably need to explore the latest improvements made to the 2022 model year. Customer satisfaction is our top priority at Mercedes-Benz of McKinney, and our sales reps are eager to support your research.
Performance
You will notice one crucial improvement when you test drive the 2021 and 2022 S-Class sedans. The 2022 S-Class now offers the e-Active Body Control adaptive suspension system as an option. The two powertrains available in the 2021 S-Class continue to be provided in the 2022 model year. The base-level powertrain is an inline-six, turbo 3.0-liter system that delivers 429 horsepower. The more advanced powertrain is a V8, turbo 4.0-liter system with 496 horsepower. Across the board, the S-Class is equipped with 4MATIC® all-wheel drive and a nine-speed automatic transmission. The upper trim level also has standard rear-wheel steering, expanding the sedan’s turning ability.
Appearance
The 2022 S-Class sedan is offered with a few new exterior color options that are not available in the 2021 version. These new possibilities may be displayed in our current inventory at Mercedes-Benz of McKinney. The body style remains unchanged. It continues to have a wing-like, chrome-accented grille with horizontal bars. The LED headlights are precisely angled and mounted over metal-adorned air intake vents. The profile is decidedly elegant and aerodynamic. Metallic trim accentuates the sides, and the door panels are elegantly contoured.
Features
Features offered in the 2021 and 2022 S-Class hold steady, and they include a rich mixture of decadent materials and advanced technologies. The introductory S-Class trim for both years carries equipment like a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, a 12.8-inch OLED infotainment screen, soft-close doors, a fragrance atomizer in the dual-zone auto climate management system, leather or premium leather upholstery, augmented reality with the navigation system, a wireless charging pad, wireless smart device app connectivity and more. The more advanced trim level adds several features to the rear, including neck heaters, a control panel, a second wireless charging pad, massaging and heated seats, and more. An extensive array of advanced driver’s aids is standard in every 2021 and 2022 S-Class sedan.
The S-Class leaves no room for disappointment across the trim levels for both model years. Contact our sales department at Mercedes-Benz of McKinney today to compare the beautiful possibilities available in our current inventory.
