Serving McKinney, TX

Mercedes-Benz has a reputation for engineering world-class luxury cars. When shopping for a new luxury sedan, many drivers will be choosing between the 2019 Mercedes-Benz C-Class and the 2019 Mercedes-Benz E-Class. While the C-Class has a lower MSRP, there are a few more high-end features available for the E-Class. Let’s take a closer look at how these models compare.

Performance

Both of these premium luxury sedans come standard with a turbocharged 2.0-liter, inline-four engine. While the C-Class develops 255 horsepower, the E-Class produces 241 horsepower. Because the C-Class is lighter, it manages to offer slightly quicker acceleration off the line. You can also expect the C-Class to deliver extra fuel savings. Like the C-Class, the E-Class can be equipped with a high-performance AMG® powertrain. Mercedes-Benz rates the C-Class’ bi-turbo V8 to develop a thrilling 503 horsepower. Although the E-Class offers a similar V8 engine, output increases to an even more electrifying 603 horsepower.

Appearance

The 2019 Mercedes-Benz C-Class and the Mercedes-Benz E-Class have a very similar appearance. However, a longer body helps separate the E-Class. Both cars feature a bold front fascia, which is highlighted by a large Mercedes-Benz emblem. Muscular body lines also help create a stunning look. There are various packages available to enhance styling further. Featuring a rear spoiler and a robust body kit, the AMG® Line package gives the C-Class an athletic look. Some of the same appearance upgrades are available for the E-Class. Signature colors include Polar White, Obsidian Black Metallic, and Iridium Silver Metallic.

Features

Whether you choose the C-Class or the E-Class, you’ll have access to a long list of premium features. While the C-Class offers a 12.3-inch display as an option, this high-resolution infotainment screen comes standard on the E-Class. You can also order the new E-Class with Active multi-contour front seats with massage. Voice control technology enables the new E-Class to deliver an even more luxurious driving experience.
