The captivating Mercedes-Benz GLE is a two-row, midsize crossover, unchanged for the 2026 model year. Seven trim levels are available, including the mid-level GLE 450e 4MATIC®. The GLE 450e 4MATIC® is the only trim level offered with a plug-in hybrid engine and an exciting range of premium features.
Under the hood of the 2026 Mercedes-Benz GLE 450e 4MATIC®, you will find a turbocharged four-cylinder gas engine mated to a rechargeable battery and an electric motor system. This plug-in hybrid system gives you 381 horsepower and can take you 49 miles down the road using all-electric power. 4MATIC® all-wheel drive and a nine-speed auto transmission are standard for this GLE plug-in hybrid model in 2026.
The GLE SUV has a short, tapered front end and a tall roof. The rear is strongly raked while the sides have lightly angled side contouring, creating a visual sense of momentum. The wide grille shows off vertical, chrome columns and rounded sides. The air vents flanking the bumper have a pair of sporty, horizontal accent lines.
