 What's New for the 2024 Mercedes-AMG C 63 S E PERFORMANCE?
By 2030, Mercedes-Benz intends for most of its lineup to be electrified, and it has already started this transformation. The 2024 Mercedes-AMG® C 63 E PERFORMANCE is a plug-in hybrid sport sedan. While the previous comparable model was powered by a V8 gas engine, this plug-in hybrid sedan will have a turbocharged four-cylinder, 2.0-liter system that pairs with a rear-placed electric motor. As a result, the old model's rear-wheel drive has been replaced with AMG® Performance 4MATIC®+ all-wheel drive in the new AMG® C 63 E PERFORMANCE.
While this plug-in hybrid sport sedan is a direct competitor to the BMW M3, it rises above the competition with its impressive performance. The PHEV system delivers 671 total horsepower along with 752 pound-feet of torque. The electric motor produces 200 horsepower and supports the AMG® C 63 E PERFORMANCE's quickness and speed. The mechanical equipment includes an electronically controlled limited-slip differential, an AMG® nine-speed automatic transmission, and an enhanced coil-spring suspension. While on the road, the driver can adjust the sedan's adaptive dampers, steering, and stability through eight drive modes. The modes are Battery Hold, Electric, Individual, Slippery, Race, Sport, Sport+, and Comfort. In addition, the sedan has one-pedal functionality and four levels to its regenerative braking system.
Throughout the exterior, the 2024 Mercedes-AMG® C 63 E PERFORMANCE displays elegance and athleticism. It is 3.6 inches longer and 0.4 inches wider than its gas-powered predecessor. While it displays modern Mercedes-Benz design language, it stands out with its jet wing nose and its premium front and rear air vents. Up to 20-inch wheels, quad exhaust finishers, and road-hugging positioning define the look.
The interior of the 2024 Mercedes-AMG® C 63 E PERFORMANCE has high-grade materials with sleek surfaces through the dashboard. Bolstered sport seats and a flat-bottom steering wheel with paddle shifters enhance the sedan's athletic nature. The dashboard shows off a 12.3-inch digital driver's instrumentation panel, and the 11.9-inch central display screen delivers access to the MBUX system and other technologies.
