Exterior
Design
With smooth
curves and signature LED lighting, the 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQS blends classic
design with modern lines to create something truly unique. The iconic Points of
Light grille design makes a comeback, this time in the form of a smooth pane
dotted with LED lights that create a truly unique signature for nighttime
driving. Meanwhile, the wide lower vents and arching roofline are callbacks to
current Mercedes-Benz design language that help tie this new EV to the rest of
the lineup.
Interior
Design
An ocean of
elegance awaits you inside the 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQS, with a sleek gloss black
panel that stretches across the entire dash and incorporates an edgeless
digital display in the center. Sweeping curves surround the entire panel, with
the classic round Mercedes-Benz air vents highlighted in a bright silver finish
on either end. Ambient interior lighting surrounds the panel as well, and
sweeps down the doors to surround you in a tasteful glow for nighttime
driving.
Performance
The 2022
Mercedes-Benz EQS is an electric vehicle, and that setup already comes with
impressive response thanks to the instant torque of the electric motors.
However, the Mercedes-Benz EQS doesn't rely on a great first impression - it
provides you with performance you'll love every time you go for a drive. At 329
horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque, the Mercedes-Benz EQS is a true joy to
drive, getting you from zero to 60 mph in 5.5 seconds. You can also opt for the
Mercedes-Benz EQS 580 4MATIC® model which includes all-wheel drive and a more
powerful output of 516 horsepower and 611 pound-feet of torque. Here, you'll
get up to speed in just over four seconds. Charging times for both are around
31 minutes from 10 percent to 100 percent on a DC fast-charging station rating
for 200KW or higher. On standard 240V AC charging like you would install at
home, you'll get a full charge in about 11 hours. Range from a full charge is
estimated at 478 miles, putting the Mercedes-Benz EQS at the front of the pack
in terms of time between charges.
Technology
The 2022
Mercedes-Benz EQS comes packed with more tech than what you'll find under the
hood. Seamless door handles work with the KEYLESS GO® system and pop out as you
approach with your key, even if it's in your pocket or bag. The MBUX system can
now be activated with your voice, fingerprint, or facial recognition, so only
you and other authorized drivers can access information stored within the
system and make adjustments to your settings. The black dash display includes
edgeless screens both in the center and on the passenger side of the dash, so
your passenger can choose music, help navigate, and adjust their side of the
climate controls without reaching into the center.

Safety
There are
plenty of active safety features tucked away inside the 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQS,
including the DISTRONIC® active cruise control system, lane keeping, and blind
spot assist to help make highway driving a breeze. Plus, you'll enjoy the added
safety of PRESAFE® features that detect collisions and prepare both you and the
vehicle by tightening the belts, and reducing sonic effects that can damage
your hearing in the event of a crash.
